Katie Spencer Wright

Katie grew up attending public schools in Charlotte, North Carolina and is honored to support public education in the Bull City.
Katie’s past work has taken her across several sectors including education, social science research, museums and public history. Katie was the founding director of the Museum of Durham History and spent several years consulting for museums and historic sites. The thread running through all of her work is a passion for uplifting and honoring community voices.
Katie received a BA from UNC Chapel Hill and a MA from the University of Leicester, UK. She loves outdoor adventures whether in faraway places or close to home. She can often be found at the Eno River with her husband and son.
